Sea Ledge North

This small cottage had everything we needed, and in a perfect location, too! It was clean, with a well appointed kitchen, and plenty of extras! Effortless WiFi, comfortable furnishings, lots of hot water. The view was priceless!

I summered on these islands as a child 60+ years ago and wondered how they would be now. The islands feel the same as they did all those years ago. The crib stone bridge still stands strong (my grandfather was the 2nd car to drive over it in 1928). Lands End still sits at the farthest point of land and offers all the memories you could want. And Cooks still sells fresh lobster and seafood with a stunning view. The cottage was beyond our expectations, we spent hours on the deck watching the ocean as it ebbed and flowed through the tides. The cottage was updated and so comfortable from the furniture and beds to the well stocked kitchen. We felt a little sad leaving Bailey's but know we will return someday and it will remain the quintessential Maine Island I loved as a child.

My family stayed here for a weekend vacation. It’s super clean and well organized. The house has everything you need to cook and serve food. Its location is breathtaking. Bailey island is where I grew up vacationing and this house is one of the cleaner and better homes we have stayed in.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were sad our time was so limited this year. The home is charming, clean, has plenty of amenities, and a stunning view overlooking Casco Bay. We enjoyed meals on the deck watching the sailboats and lobstermen pass and gorgeous sunsets. The location is very quiet and tucked in giving it a cozy feel. We've been coming to Bailey Island for nearly 40 years now and we were fortunate to stumble upon this home as the one we have always rented was badly damaged from the storms last winter. Everyone at Maine Stay Vacation was helpful and friendly and answered any and all of our questions.

Rental was fantastic! Amazing sunset views and wonderfully furnished. Great location for walks, close to trails for hikes, restaurants and a home base for exploring other Islands or just hanging out. Kitchen has everything, also books and board games and a foosball table! Staff was very friendly and communicative and responded to a few questions within an hour. Had a wonderful time, hope to be back.

Overall, very good experience. The cabin was very nice and well maintained. The booking process was very easy. The property manager(s) were very friendly and accommodating. I wish the property had a bathroom in the lower level located near the bedrooms. I would have also liked having laundry facilities on the property. Because of the location of the cabin, going to the nearest place to do laundry would have been very time consuming.

We loved the cottage. Right on the water!! Sunsets were beautiful. Very clean and well stocked. Took us awhile to figure out how to watch TV but we are an older couple and “technically challenged “. As seniors we also had a challenge with the bedrooms beings downstairs but I missed this description on the website so this was my fault. Regardless we had a wonderful week. Two comments: we paid $115 for linens so I did not expect to put them on when we arrived. The owners should have this done for their guests. Also having to do housework upon leaving the cottage should not be the guest’s responsibility.

My brother and I along with our spouses had a great week at Sea Ledge North (49 West Shore) and if we return to Bailey Island in the future we'd want to stay here again. This house is in a perfect location, great views, has been tastefully updated, very well appointed for cooking, front and back porches and is perfect for 4 people. One note on the WIFI, the PW is shown in upper-case letters on the welcome sheet, however, the PW must be entered in all lower-case letters (may want to update that) Loved to walk to the "Fishing Net" cafe each morning for breakfast and Cook's Lobster for drinks. 5 stars for this rental!

We found the cottage to be much nicer than the photos show. The refrigerator was noisy, and the shower drain can’t manage the flow so it builds up. It is noted in the ad, but the bathroom being on a different floor than the bedroom was difficult for me in the middle of the night. But, the absolutely incredible view makes up for those minor irritations.

Nice place to stay in Bailey Island for a party of four .

We loved our stay here! It was perfect for our family of 3. Beautiful views and cozy accommodations. We will definitely stay here again.
