Sea Chaser Cottage

It's what we were looking for, centrally located.

This property was exactly right for our group. It is very quiet but only a few minutes from town. The beds are comfy/cozy and the sofas and chairs in the main room are too. The decor is a nice break from trying too hard to be “beach”; it is all in good taste. The kitchen is nicely stocked and well organized. The one and only thing I could even try to complain about this lovely property is they had no coffee filters, but they did have paper towels so we were able to be caffeinated anyway. And we left some behind for the next renters. I would return here in a heartbeat!

A great little cabin perched over the ocean (literally) with a tidal dock and location convenient to Cooks Corner, Harpswell, and 95. A small kitchen has all the essentials, and we mostly stuck to the grill. An amazing view, and our family loved the fact that Thomas Point Beach was 3 minutes away for the beach, kayak rentals, and disc golf.

Overall a great place to stay for a family of four, any more than that and the space would seem cramped I think. Also, of note but not a big deal was the hard water has a definite odor, and bottle water is recommended!

I was immediately drawn to this cottage when I saw it's location on the New Meadows River about 5 minutes from Brunswick. I was fortunate to visit for many years the home which my parents built in the 1980's just a quarter mile south in the 1980's. I remembered how scenic and serene the area was. It has remained so! Julie and I found the cottage to be well located on the waterfront with marvelous views, a dock and float which appear to be recent construction. The access to this dock area is a steep stairway and potential renters should consider their mobility level accordingly. The cottage is a delightful combination of classic Maine knotty pine vibe with fairly recent renovation while retaining that feel. It is in splendid repair. Julie and I prefer early June visits to avoid the tourist crush of July and August. The location is sparsely populated along this road and as such it is wonderfully quiet and serene!! The Mainestay property management folks are really 5 star customer service professionals - so helpful in every way. I encourage them to alert renters planning their trip to be aware the GPS link of the cottage location on this listing is NOT accurate. Chase Ln. must be accessed by turning off Woodward Point Rd onto Pine Ledge, not the next turnoff indicated which is Oyster Ledge Ln. We would love to return again next year !!

We loved the property. The views are exceptional. We were able to see a beautiful fox, all kinds of birds, lots of cute chipmunks. We enjoyed being close to nature great break from the big city. The cottage is very comfortable, and it has all you need to feel like home. The location is perfect we. it's away from town but not too much that we were able to drive around to restaurants and stores as well as short distance to other little towns. We had a great time.

Property was as described, was delightfully remote and very well stocked for us to enjoy.

Quiet, waterfront cottage close enough to town yet far enough to get away from things. Clean and comfortable, everything you need to enjoy a week of relaxation.

Perfect location for a little getaway. We were able to relax, fish right off the dock and enjoy the beautiful views. The house was fully equipped with all the necessary utensils and kitchenware for several nights of cooking. Communication, check in, and check out directions we’re very clear and prompt. I would not hesitate to rent this location or another MSV property in the future.

The description was accurate. The location was quiet & very picturesque. Many amenities were provided.The house was clean and quite comfortable. Aside from enjoying our dock & kayaking, we visited the outlets & Botanical Gardens and enjoyed a wonderful lobster lunch at The Dolphin Marina.

The two of us thought that Sea Chaser was a very nice vacation spot. It is well off the beaten track visually but still quite convenient for going into Brunswick to pick up some groceries.The deck was a lovely place to spend the afternoon. Living room furniture and kitchen equipment were 90 to 95% of all you could desire. The bedroom was very comfortable and the quite new washer and dryer were a nice amenity.

One of us was disappointed about the lack of communication on the part of the real estate agency regarding the resolution of an issue we raised. The property was clean and generally well-cared for. Linens were very nice.

In Brunswick, the Union Street Bakery is a great favorite with us.

This cottage feels like you are away from everything as you watch the Bald Eagles soar above or splash down and catch fish but you are just a few minutes from all the modern conveniences offered at Cooks Corner.

The cottage itself is exactly what I wanted for a coastal stay. Comfortable yet slightly rustic.

We had a great stay at Sea Chaser Cottage and will definitely be checking back to rent it again in the future. The location was very central at 30-45 minute drives to everything we planned to do in Maine. It felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, and yet you are 5 minutes down the street from a Hannaford and a convenience store in Cook's Corner. That said, we could have stayed at the cottage all week and been happy! I wish we could have stayed longer.
The scenery from the deck or the dock is beautiful. Had many Eagle sightings, rented a Kayak from Sea Spray Company and took it up and down the inlet, and enjoyed our coffee on the deck each morning.
Maine Stay Vacations was responsive and great to work with. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy the simple pleasures of a Maine Summer. We had the opportunity to truly "vacation" with our two young kiddos which is not always easy.
My one complaint would be that there is a skylight directly over the "kids room" with no way to cover or shade it, and the sun rises early and sets late in June. It would have been great to have a way to cover it when needed.

Our home away from home. We rented for the winter months while we looked for our forever home. We loved this little house on the water. If this was available we would have tried to buy it.

We had an incredible week-long stay at the Sea Chaser. If you're looking for a secluded and private vacay on beautiful Thomas Bay, this is the place. We enjoyed getting sun and swimming off the dock. The cottage was clean and the amenities were helpful (washer/dryer, gas grill, coffee maker, etc). Reid State Park is a gorgeous beach that's close by. And downtown Brunswick has a lot of cute shops and restaurants. I hope to book the Sea Chaser again next summer - when the weather is better than this year.

What a great cottage, the view was just incredible, also loved the fact it was very close to town.
